Couples Therapy & Marriage Counselling in Lekki, Lagos, at the Clinic or Online

Somewhere along the way, conversations became negotiations. Silence became safer than honesty. You still love each other - but lately it feels like you're managing a household together instead of sharing a life.
You are not the only couple this happens to. And it is not the end of the story.

Couples counselling gives you a neutral, supportive space - and a trained third voice - to say the things that never land right at home. Together, we'll rebuild communication, resolve the conflicts underneath the arguments, and help you enjoy your marriage rather than endure it. That includes the conversations most couples avoid: our therapists are experienced in marital and sex-related concerns, addressed with complete professionalism and zero judgement.

Process

How it works for couples

Step 1

Orientation

A joint consultation where both partners are heard and shared goals are set. Neither of you is "the problem."

Step 2

Identification

We map the cycle: the triggers, the patterns, and what each argument is actually about.

Step 3

Exploration

Guided work on the emotions and histories each of you brings into the relationship.

Step 4

Resolution

Practical communication tools and agreements you'll actually use on a Tuesday night, not just in the therapy room.

Sessions are available in person at our Lekki clinic or online via secure video - including split-location sessions if one partner travels.

What couples say

Initial Assessment

The therapist and client start with an initial assessment session where they get to know each other. The therapist asks questions to understand the client's presenting concerns, personal history, current life circumstances, and goals for therapy. This helps in establishing a therapeutic alliance and creating a treatment plan tailored to the client's needs.

Establishing Goals

Based on the assessment, the therapist and client collaboratively set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for therapy. These goals serve as a roadmap for the therapeutic process and provide direction for the sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my partner won't come?

Start alone. Individual sessions on relationship issues are common, and reluctant partners often join once they see the process is neutral, not a blame exercise.

Will the therapist take sides?

No. Our role is a supportive, neutral environment where both partners are heard equally.

Is it too late for us?

Couples usually wait years too long before seeking help — and still make progress. The best time was earlier; the second-best time is now.

Do you handle sensitive intimacy issues?

Yes, routinely and professionally. Nothing you bring will shock us, and everything stays confidential.
